Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Parléa, operated by Michelle Protzek, in Ontario, Canada. By using the app or site, you agree to them. If you don't agree, don't use the service.
1. What Parléa is
Parléa is a tool to train French pronunciation and speaking for the TCF Canada. It gives estimated scores and an estimated NCLC level.
Parléa is not the official exam, is not affiliated with France Éducation International or IRCC, and its estimates are not official results.
2. Not immigration advice
Nothing in Parléa is legal or immigration advice. For immigration decisions, check IRCC and, if you need one, a regulated consultant.
3. Your account
You sign in with Google. Keep your account secure — you're responsible for activity under it.
4. Plans and billing
Demo is free. Pro is US$19/month and Test-Prep is US$39/month.
Paid plans bill monthly via Stripe and renew automatically until you cancel. You can cancel anytime from your account (“Manage subscription”); access continues to the end of the period you've already paid for.
Prices may change — we'll tell you first. Refunds are at our discretion and as required by applicable law (including any consumer right to cancel where it applies).
5. Fair use
Daily usage limits apply. Don't abuse the service, scrape it, resell it or share your access.
6. Your content
Your recordings and texts are yours. You grant Parléa a limited licence to process them to provide and improve the service (scoring and feedback). We don't claim ownership of your content.
7. Our content
The app, its copy and its design are Parléa's. Don't copy or redistribute them without permission.
8. Disclaimers and liability
The service is provided “as is”. We don't guarantee exam results, an NCLC level or any immigration outcome — estimates can be wrong.
To the extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to what you paid Parléa in the prior 12 months. Nothing in these terms removes consumer rights that the law where you live guarantees.
9. Termination
We may suspend accounts for abuse. You can stop using the service whenever you want.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there, without affecting consumer rights guaranteed where you live.
11. Changes
We may update these terms. Continuing to use Parléa after a change means you accept the new version.
